Traders of the world’s most sought-after coffee beans has only been possible by immersing ourselves into the coffee harvesting process which has meant being on-the-ground at the plantations. For over 40 years our Australian founders have steadfastly been at the source of what are typically small, highly productive plantations in Goroka located in the far-flung Eastern Highland Province of Papua New Guinea and Brazil’s fertile agricultural sectors of Minas Gerais, São Paulo and Parana. These two prime coffee growing regions share in common a richness in their soil that yield superb beans.

The supply chain starts after all with trust and transparency of the growers located in some of the world’s most isolated communities. Each plantation farmer produces its own distinguishable bean from perfect growing conditions like single origin, shade-grown coffee others in full sunlight.
Bean Exchange farmers have been selected for maintaining ideal growing conditions that include several environmental and agronomic factors that play a crucial role in determining the flavor, aroma, and overall quality of the coffee. Higher altitudes are generally preferred for growing premium coffee as well as climate ideally characterized by abundant rainfall and moderate temperatures without extreme changes. Regions with a distinct wet and dry season are also beneficial, as the dry season aids in the harvesting process. Key of the ideal conditions is the health and management of the soil that should be fertile and well-drained.
