Bean Exchange offer beans triple inspected through their journey from PNG. First, our farmers inspect each pod with their generations of wisdom and experience. Then the second inspection takes place before the bulk vacuum sealing for transport to ensure no mold has developed. The final inspection is completed at our warehouse moments before packing your shipment. We check the aroma, quality, and appearance a final time.
As the beans reach a more ideal moisture content, they are left in the sun open to the air during the day and rolled up at night. Daily sun exposure is paramount to flavour transformation and the prevention of mould on vanilla beans. This rolling and unrolling continues for up to two months.
